We traveled through Cancun to the Grand Sirenis Resort in the Rivera Maya. It was our second time staying at this resort, which is about an hour and a half south of the Cancun airport. We took two different day trips, one to the Mayan Ruins and the other to Coba.
From there, we stayed at the beautiful El Dorado Maroma Beachfront Resort. Maroma Beach is one of the Travel Channel's top ten beaches in the WORLD! The Beachfront Resort has only 72 suites and the resort is surrounded by the blue Caribbean water and jungle where you can participate in sport fishing, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, and sailing. On a previous visit to Maroma Beach, we went on an ATV four-wheel excursion through the jungle, enjoyed the romantic dinner cruise, and we drove speed boats.
After earning a chance to sail on the new Oasis of the Seas cruise ship. We were very fortunate to be chosen by our Royal Caribbean representative to sail with him on a pre-inaugural sailing on the Oasis of the Seas. We were able to experience some of the amazing features of the new cruise ship. Just to name a few of the highlights: we enjoyed the ice skating show, riding on the carousel on the boardwalk, watching people on the zipline, strolling through central park, relaxing on the promenade, and watching the divers practice their show in the aqua theater.
